How do I setup Stock Selector to pick winning stocks?

Setting up stock selector is based on the type of stocks the user desirers. A user may desire to picks a stock that has fallen and is starting to turn up, or the user may desire to pick a stock that is rising fast and exponentially, or the user may desire to short a stock that is a high price and starting to turn down. In all cases, the user should find one or more of these stocks and graph the stock, and closely look at the price changes relative to the changes in the technical indicators. Then set up these indicators and criteria in Stock Selector to match this particular type of stock This can be easily accomplished within a few days.

In addition to technical indicators, Net Equities utilizes a few fundamental criteria when selecting a stock to purchase. First, a stock that meets the technical criteria is selected for further evaluation. Next, we verify the stock has increasing revenues/sales, increasing earnings, a PEG below 2.5, and is in an industry group or segment of interest. Then we closely look at the extended fundamental data to make sure the companies finances are in order. Stocks that meet this criteria are selected as a potential purchase, and we will trade in and out of this pool of stocks. We generally keep around 10 stocks in out portfolio. Using the graphics we select a target sell on the high and the low side. After purchase, we put in a stop loss. If the stock moves as expected, we will follow up with stop losses until our price target has been achieved. Finally, we always evaluate each stock each day and ask the question "Would we purchase this stock today?". If the answer is yes, we keep the stock; otherwise, we sell and trade for another desirable stock.
